Twisted Love

Heard S'pore's turing Farrer Park into a Medical Hub. Wondering what's going to happen to my Japanese buffet... ?!! Anyway, went to for my appointment with my anesthesia Dr. at AH and realised it changed alot. No longer the dark and ghostly corridors, or the quiet and cold wards. Everything was nicely furnished and renovated. But they are shifting again, to Yishun.

Dr.: Do you have any drug allergy?

Mum: No, but she has sinus every morning.

Dr.: Ok, but no drug allergy huh... Good. *Type somethings* Is there any family related illness that you've caught over the years so far?

Mum: No, but she has asthma when she was young.

Dr.: Ok, but no related illnesses or diseases huh... Good. *Type somethings* Feeling any sore throats or flu recently?

Mum: Sometimes she has numbness at night when she sleeps.

Dr.: Oh, numbness... But no flu or sore throats?

Mum: No. *Looking at me to double confirm*

Dr.: Ok, guess you are fit. You may go now.

Me: *TOTALLY -..-", heading quickly for the door*

That's why it's always safe to have mothers around. They always "over-inform" your doctors of your condition. They will pull out all your habits, history and comment some of their guesses on your future medical condition. But can tell that young doctor don't seems to know how to appreciate mum's contributions yet... (Let's give him the benefit of doubt.)

For this simple Q and A session, my grandparents and parents insisted to come along. My grandmother wanted to go into the consultation room with mum and I initally. Thank goodness dad and I managed to persuade her not to. If not, that doctor will know too much of me. Duh.

But you should know I love them. Love their extra efforts. Love their extra thoughts. Love their extra doings for me. Love their extra love showered. Sometimes, overflowed love can be seen as nagging, extra care can be deemed as busy-bodiness. It's up to us to see through a person's honest intentions. Careful not to misunderstand love around you!

Seasons change.
And life continues.
But love will stay...
