Have you ever watch kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listen to the train slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterful's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
Slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you asked "How are you?" did you hear the reply?
When the day is done do you lie in your bed;
With the next hundred chores running through your head?
Slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Ever told your child, "We'll do it tomorrow"?
And in your haste not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch and let a good friendship die;
Cause you never had time to call and say "Hi"?
Slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere;
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you hurry and worry through your day;
It's like an unopened gift thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower.
Hear the music.
Before the song is over.

We look outside us for happiness:We search happiness in parties, relationships, in money, in ocassions and events. Sometimes we look for it in winning competitions, in success, in completion of projects and also in reaching work-targets. We've forgotten... Happiness is right inside us.
You don't find it outside:Recall the aftermath of all the parties and ocassions and events, how quiet and lonely the whole house seems. We forgot how people fail us once and again, but still we want to depend on them to make us smile. We also forget life lessons that poor people are remarkable reservoirs of energy and knowledge. We always forget that money can't rule presence of happiness. Its not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it.Look in! Because happiness is INSIDE us:We feel happy when we give. When we lend a helping hand. When we are poor but still managed to buy others something that makes them smile. Happiness is not found when we are selfishly wanting to fulfill our own needs. It's when we find ourselves in useful positions that encouraged another being, built another tired soul, or rescued someone from hell... When we let down our selfishness, we find happiness.How can we be joyful when we do not even fulfill the purpose of our creation? How can we know the purpose of ourselves if we do not communicate with the Creator? How can we communicate with the Creator when we are so busy?Sometimes life gives us reasons to drift away from Him. Other times it provides tempting short-cuts to get short-lived joy. Sometimes our chores gives us excuses to procastinate the pursue of true happiness, or the way to true happiness. Sometimes laziness sets in, making it hard to do what we dislike and those that seem hard work-silent before Him.Whatever the case, we are the ones deciding the ultimate choice.
All we see of someone at any moment is a snapshot of their life,
in joy or despair.
Snapshots don't show the million decisions that led to that moment.
~Richard Bach~
